Abstract

The Civil Tribunal of Rome has ordered to the postal service Poste Italiane s.p.a to stop its discriminatory practice of refusing   to open a bank account to those asylum seekers owing a valid application's receipt issued by a State administration that includes the applicant's picture, name and date of birth. The receipt attesting the submission of the application for international protection constitutes provisional residence permit.
